Of course she knew why he disappeared. Culpability and shame. Killing SHIELD agents -friends- and letting a demiGod using magic tricks to control you didn’t help for the self-esteem.
Loneliness has always been a soothing companion for people doing their kind of job, so he decided to embrace it for a while. More a need than a choice, and Natasha perfectly understood that.
Though, the understanding didn’t make it easier for her to handle.
